My vegetable garden is a sacred place to me, to nurture and nourish these wonderful organic beauties takes time, patience and dedication.
It is the season for cucumbers and beans, there is so many that I cant keep up each day amazed by how quickly they are growing. I arrive to work each day with my basket full, Zuii HQ will be drinking cucumber smoothies for weeks to come.
My tip to keep away nasty weeds when maintaining a chemical free garden is to make the following mix and spray onto your weeds. A natural way to clean up your garden.
Vinegar: Kill weeds dead with a good shot of vinegar. For best results, don’t dilute with water and choose a time to spray when there’s no sign of rain. Household vinegar is around 5% acetic acid concentration which will do the trick for new growth. If you can find a stronger vinegar (like pickling which is about 9%), that will give better results for more mature (and stubborn) varieties.
My favorite Cucumber smoothie recipe:

1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
1.Add ingredients to high-speed blender in the order they are listed.
2.Begin blending on low and increase to highest speed.
3.Blend of high for approximately 35 seconds. (Use tamper if necessary to ensure even blending)
